Your visit

Festival performances have a 90-minute interval and Tour performances at Glyndebourne have a 20-minute interval.

Performances have a long interval lasting approximately 90 minutes, allowing plenty of time for dining in one of Glyndebourne’s restaurants or a picnic in the gardens. Explore picnicking and dining options.

Some operas will also have additional short intervals. You can find the estimated interval times in the Festival performance schedule.

During the Tour, performances have a shorter 20-minute interval, and you can dine either before or after the performance, depending on the performance start time. You can find the performance start times in the brochure and on your tickets.

Bells, clearly audible in the gardens, are rung ten, five and three minutes before curtain-up at the beginning of the performance and at the end of the intervals.
