Georg Baselitz at Festival 2015

The inaugural White Cube at Glyndebourne artist was German painter, printmaker, sculptor and draughtsman Georg Baselitz, who has consistently challenged the mainstream in his 50-year career.

The Glyndebourne paintings are a new series that depict legs spinning like turntables in an evolution of an earlier motif. The works embody playfulness, expectation and musicality, while their titles reference Bach, Mozart and Wagner.
