In celebration of ten years of membership you will be invited to join the Glyndebourne Society, our community of longstanding members with opportunities to further enhance your connection with Glyndebourne.
Ticket Access
Members enjoy priority access to tickets. About 70% of tickets are sold to members before public booking opens.
All Members have access to priority booking online and by phone, with real time availability and seat selection, before public booking.
Glyndebourne Society Members and Funding Members have advanced priority access to tickets by ballot, assisted by our experienced box office team. Ticket requests are allocated before online booking opens for all members. Funding Members have guaranteed access to the tickets they request at this stage.
A guide to priority booking is sent to Members with the Festival and Autumn Season brochure.
Standing places are available from the opening of public booking.
All Members can return tickets for a full refund up to public booking and make the tickets available to other members.
From public booking until five days before the performance date, tickets can be exchanged to another performance in the same season. For full ticket terms and conditions see here.
Festival 2027 tickets will go on sale to Members online on Sunday 7 February 2027 and by phone on Monday 8 February 2027
Glyndebourne Society and Funding Members have access to advance priority booking and can submit their requests by 8 January 2027.
Anyone aged 29 or under who is registered to the Under 30s programme can purchase subsidised tickets, subject to availability.
Under 30s tickets go on sale after public booking has opened.
Payments & Gift Aid
Members pay a one-off joining fee of £110 (waived for Under 40s) plus a subscription which you can choose to pay annually (currently £96 / £77 for Under 40s), in advance, or for life.
Glyndebourne Society Members can pay annually (currently £215), in advance or for life. An invitation to join the Glyndebourne Society is made after 10 years of membership – there is no further joining fee.
Funding Members make an annual contribution of £3,000, made up of a voluntary donation and a fee payment – for further details see here
Subscription rates are reviewed regularly. Notification of an increase will be sent at least three weeks before the payment is due.
Membership subscriptions are due for payment in October for the year ahead.
Subscriptions can be paid online or by phone.
Subscriptions can be paid annually, in advance for multiple years, or for life.
Most members renew automatically by Direct Debit which reduces administration fees and increases the value of subscriptions.
Under 40s membership offers a discounted subscription for those age 39 and under. No other concessions are available.
Gift Aid is claimed on membership subscriptions except for the discounted Under 40s subscription. It is not claimed on the Membership joining fee.
Gift Aid is claimed on the donation portion of Funding Membership but not the fee element.
Managing my membership
Memberships can be held jointly between spouses / life partners by contacting the membership team on the details below. The costs and benefits remain the same but either of you can administer the account.
