Whether it’s making memories with friends or catching a production of the opera you love, join Fortissimo to secure Festival tickets before public booking and enjoy 50% off a pair of tickets. You will also have the chance to accrue your subscription payment towards the joining fee for Associate Membership later down the line.
Many of our young ticket bookers told us they wanted to feel part of the Glyndebourne family at a point when they’re juggling lots of other commitments so aren’t yet able to take up a life-long membership.
Fortissimo Membership benefits
Priority booking: Book an unlimited number of Festival tickets (after Festival Society and Associate Member priority booking), subject to availability.
Subsidised tickets: Enjoy 50% off two Festival tickets, subject to availability.

The chance to offset the Associate Membership joining fee: Your annual subscription for Fortissimo can count towards the Associate Membership joining fee (currently £500).

There is an annual subscription of £70 this year.
FAQ about Fortissimo

Fortissimo is Glyndebourne’s newest Membership and has been introduced for Under 40s. There is no initial joining fee. Fortissimo members will pay an annual subscription in return for a number of benefits.
Fortissimo Members enjoy priority booking (after Festival Society and Associate Members) when they can book as many tickets as they would like, subject to availability. They can also enjoy 50% off a pair of Festival tickets. Their annual subscription can be used to offset against the Associate Membership joining fee in the future.
Fortissimo Members pay an annual subscription, which is currently £70.
We will review the annual subscriptions for Fortissimo Membership on a regular basis. Notification of a subscription increase will be posted to all subscribers at least 4 weeks before the subscription is due.
We are not able to claim Gift Aid on the annual subscription of Fortissimo.
The subscription is due in the autumn each year for the following Festival. Annual subscription requests are sent out in November giving you the option to renew online or set up a Direct Debit to automatically renew your subscription each year.
We regret not. All Fortissimo Members are required to pay the full subscription.
No. Glyndebourne Memberships cannot be transferred other than between spouses or life partners.
Fortissimo Membership places are allocated on a first come/first served basis. Applicants must be 16 years of age or over.
After we have received your payment we will email confirmation within five working days. Full booking information and details about making your priority ticket application will be emailed to you in January each year.
Priority booking through Fortissimo Membership offers a very good opportunity to secure tickets to the Festival before public booking opens but tickets are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Some productions and performances may be oversubscribed as Festival Society and Associate Members tickets will already have been allocated. You will be able to see up to date availability when you book online.
Yes. Under 30s membership is free to join and is open to anyone aged 29 or under. Under 30s membership gives you access to Glyndebourne offers throughout the year, including tickets at subsidised prices thanks to our New Generation Programme.
Please note that Fortissimo discounted tickets may only be used by those aged 16–39 and you may be asked to provide proof of age with a discounted Fortissimo ticket.
