Become a member for priority bookingOne of the 20th century’s most powerfully lyrical scores tells the story of Jenůfa, whose secret pregnancy sets in motion events that devastate both a family and community. Is love or forgiveness possible after violence and betrayal?
Yaël Farber makes her Glyndebourne debut with this new staging of Jenufa. Chilean soprano Yaritza Véliz makes her role debut as Jenufa, with American tenor Jamez McCorkle and Ukrainian tenor Oleksiy Palchykov as rival lovers Laca and Steva. Robin Ticciati conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra. See full cast and creative team details here.
