Discover the secrets of staging an opera

Event Details

Join us to discover some of the secrets of how opera is created at Glyndebourne.

Meet the people behind the magic and gain privileged access to the workings of an international opera house. Each talk, moderated by Warwick Thompson, will explore a different aspect of staging an opera including costumes, props, lighting, wigs, make up and elements of the rehearsal process.


LOCATION: Ebert Room
DURATION: 45 minutes
Each talk ends 30 minutes before the start of the performance.

Insider talks are exclusive to ticket holders for that day’s main stage performance. Places can be booked online when you book your ticket for that day’s opera performance or by telephone +44 (0)1273 815 000. Our Box Office is open Monday-Friday, from 10.00am – 6.00pm.
