Introducing Festival 2026

We have another season of extraordinary opera lined up for you next summer. We can’t wait to share it all with you.

Festival 2026 features new productions of Puccini’s Tosca, Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos, alongside revivals of Rossini’s Il turco in Italia, Britten’s Billy Budd and Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. As a Member you have access to the widest choice of tickets and dates.

  • Friday 9 January 2026 Members’ ballot deadline
  • Friday 30 January 2026 Associate Members’ ballot deadline
  • Friday 20 February 2026 Members’ online booking opens
  • Sunday 22 February 2026 Under 40s Members’ booking opens*
  • Sunday 8 March 2026 Public booking opens

*For Festival 2026, in celebration of 75 years of Membership, Under 40s Members can book an additional two half-price tickets for Ariadne auf Naxos.

Can I return my Festival 2026 tickets?

Individual Members can return any number of Festival 2026 tickets for a full refund up to 5.00pm on Friday 6 March 2026 by phoning the Box Office on +44 (0)1273 815 000. After this date Members can exchange their tickets to another performance within the same season by contacting the Box Office at least five days prior to the date of the original performance. The £5 ticket exchange fee is waived for Members.

Introducing Autumn Season 2026

join us for a series of operas and concerts this autumn season.
The season will start with revivals of two beloved comedies, fresh from Glyndebourne Festival 2025 – Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaroand Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. There are concert performances of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet (fantasy overture) and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, plus the world premiere of Spark, a newly-commissioned youth opera by composer Lucy Armstrong with a libretto by Olivia Bell. The Autumn Season 2026 will close with the return of the ever-popular Christmas Concerts in December.
