Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra

The highly acclaimed Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra was formed in 1990 and is resident at Glyndebourne between September and October each year before going out on the Tour. The orchestra assembles each year and comprises a diverse mix of highly talented and committed freelance players.

The quality of a performance stands by what is presented on stage and, equally importantly, played in the pit. The Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra makes a significant contribution to the success and stature of the Tour, delivering a wide range of repertoire with distinction and versatility.
