Database Administrator (Maternity Cover)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Database Administrator to support our Tessitura application.
12 Month Fixed-Term contract from August 2024
We use the Tessitura CRM database application to process ticketing, membership functions and all customer contacts. Your role will be responsible for supporting and developing this application throughout all areas of the business.
You will be involved in projects to support improvements and necessary technical and application upgrades of the Tessitura system.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Create and clarify functional requirements, system documentation, training materials, and change management documentation
- To use the report writer tools (Microsoft SQL, SSRS and Sybase Infomaker) in the system to fulfil any business requests and therefore support the needs of the business
- To support departmental power users on specific development requirements and projects
- Participation in all key Tessitura projects advising from a position of knowledge in both technical and application functional areas
- To communicate at all levels within the organisation
- To provide occasional out-of-hours support as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Excellent working knowledge of database applications and specifically, the Tessitura application
- T-SQL development skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL query tools
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve / initiative
- Background in application functional areas gained from experience in ticketing and or membership operations
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to make reasoned judgements under pressure.
- Certification in Microsoft Database and or development tools
- Skills and experience in web development and website change projects
Salary and Benefits
We can offer a full time salary of £30,000 – £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
The hours of work are 35 per week, however requests for part-time working will be considered. Please indicate your preference when applying.
We offer 33 days (6.6 weeks) holiday inclusive of bank holidays, per annum, pro rata.
