We are auditioning local young singers aged between 9 and 13 years old to perform in the Glyndebourne 2022 Festival production La bohème.

Perform in La bohème

We are delighted to announce that we are auditioning young singers aged between 9 and 13 years old to perform in the Glyndebourne 2022 Festival production La bohème directed by Floris Visser and conducted by Jordan de Souza.

A two day workshop will be held on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 January and auditions held on Monday 17 January. You must attend the workshop to be eligible to audition.

Auditions

The two day workshop will be led by Vocal Talent Consultant Mary King and Italian Coach Barbara Diana.

The auditions will be in small groups but you may be asked to sing on your own at various points. The preparatory workshops on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 January are an essential part of the process as you will audition using the material taught to you by Mary and Barbara.

The workshops are free of charge and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility

To be eligible to audition, applicants must be aged between 9 and 13 years old on Monday 17 January and live within 25 miles of Glyndebourne. You must attend the two day workshop to be eligible to audition.

Please see below a schedule for the rehearsals and performances. This is an outline of the time commitment involved; you may not be called to all rehearsals but you must be able to attend the sessions if called.

Auditions, workshops and rehearsals will be held at Glyndebourne.
