Become a production supporter and help us to brighten up the stage with Rossini’s sparkling comedy, Il turco in Italia.

A poet with writer’s block, an elderly cuckold and his flirtatious young wife, a charismatic Turk and his former lover – these are the classic ingredients of one of Rossini’s great early comedies.

This brand new production of Il turco in Italia will be the first time we’ve staged the opera since 1970. It will be directed by Mariame Clément (who previously helmed our productions of Don Pasquale and Poliuto) and conducted by Sesto Quatrini. The cast includes Rodion Pogossov as Don Geronio, Elena Tsallagova as Fiorilla, Andrea Mastroni as Selim, Michele Angelini as Narciso and Mattia Olivieri as Prosdocimo.
