Glyndebourne awarded £50,000 grant for Jerwood Young Artists Programme

The grant will fund the Jerwood Young Artists Programme in 2020 and 2021.

We are pleased to announce that Glyndebourne has been awarded a £50,000 grant from Jerwood Arts’ Development Programme to fund the Jerwood Young Artists Programme in 2020 and 2021.

The Development Programme Fund grant will help provide career-changing support and professional development for talented, aspiring soloists. Each year the Glyndebourne Jerwood Young Artist Programme will provide opportunities for four highly gifted singers to receive top class professional coaching and development training from renowned artists, directors and coaches to equip them for an international career on the opera stage.

‘We are delighted to be supporting the Jerwood Young Artist Programme for 2020 and 2021’ says Lilli Geissendorfer, Director of Jerwood Arts, ‘Glyndebourne’s expertise and dedication to developing the next generation of outstanding voices is inspiring, and the total immersion in their Summer Season a singular opportunity for the selected artists.’
