Autumn

Resound

Engaging communities and reaching new audiences

Throughout the year we make opera and music with and for a diverse range of local people.
This culminates in a host of activities that take place alongside our mainstage autumn productions, a programme we call Resound.

In 2024 Resound includes:

GOOD COMPANY

A project taking professional musicians into care homes to engage with people living with dementia.

As well as playing opera extracts and well-known tunes, the ensemble also work with the residents to create improvised music, offering them an opportunity to join in and contribute.

SING WITH THE GLYNDEBOURNE CHORUS

Conducted by Chorus Director, Aidan Oliver, members of the Glyndebourne Chorus present a two-hour Masterclass for enthusiastic singers.

Jerwood PIT PERFECT RECITALS & WORKSHOPS

Informal recitals from members of Jerwood Pit Perfect, (Glyndebourne’s development scheme for young professional instrumentalists) at Glyndebourne and around Sussex.

ONE VOICE FESTIVAL OF SINGING
In partnership with Create Music

A festive concert in which school children experience the thrill of singing on stage with the Glyndebourne Chorus and members of the Glyndebourne Sinfonia

SINGING SCHOOLS

A network in Sussex through which Glyndebourne works closely with school leadership teams and music hubs to support singing and musical composition in schools, culminating in a sharing in the community with the Glyndebourne Chorus and members of the Glyndebourne Sinfonia.
