Explore behind the scenes
Time: 10.30am – 4.30pm
Tickets: £45 per person (£38 for Under 40s)
The day is suitable for ages 12+. A full itinerary will be shared with bookers before your visit.
- EXPLORE BACKSTAGE – Walk on stage and explore our backstage areas including a peek into our props workshop and hear about the ‘new’ theatre, 30 years since it was built.
- KNOW THE SCORE – Hear from our expert music library team and find out all about their preparations for the Festival in the historic Organ Room.
- MEET THE MAKERS – Your opportunity to meet members of our stage, lighting, costume and props teams and see what they are working on.
- SEE A SINGER PREPARE – Observe a coaching session as a singer prepares repertoire with one of our repetiteurs.
- QUIZ THE GARDENERS – The Glyndebourne gardeners have been an integral part of the Festival experience for 90 years. Find out more about their plans for this year and get tips on your own gardening challenges.
- HEAR THE SOUNDS OF FESTIVAL 2024 – Join chorus director, Aidan Oliver on a musical guided tour through Festival 2024 repertoire illustrated with excerpts performance by two Glyndebourne singers.

A light lunch is available to pre-book for £13.50 – Coronation spiced cauliflower soup with crème fraiche and vejus golden raisin served with Winterdale cheddar scone, freshly baked baguette and Netherend butter followed by tea / coffee and a chocolate brownie or maple flapjack.
