Arts Award

Support your students to achieve their Arts Award using Glyndebourne as a centre

Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that support anyone up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders. By undertaking artistic challenges – from fashion to film making, pottery to poetry – participants are inspired to connect with and take part in the wider arts world.

Through Arts Award young people gain a nationally recognised qualification enabling them to progress into further education and employment. Arts Award has five levels, four of which (Explore, Bronze, Silver, Gold) are accredited qualifications on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

Glyndebourne is an Arts Award supporter. We’re currently supporting members of the GYO2 performing company who are working towards their Silver Award.

We provide opportunities for participants to complete their portfolios by giving them the chance to gain experience in everything from auditioning to rehearsing, meeting and interviewing people working in the arts, and attending and reviewing performances.

Attendance at a Glyndebourne Performance for Schools can be included in a students’ portfolio. Click here for information on how to see a performance this autumn.

Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England, working with ten regional Bridge organisations.
