Benjamin Hulett makes his Glyndebourne Tour debut in the role of Jonathan in Saul this autumn, but audiences may recognise him from the Festival production, in which he played the role of High Priest (pictured).

Career to date: A choral scholar at New College, Oxford, he studied Opera at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was a member of the Staatsoper Hamburg from 2005 to 2009 and has since appeared with the Baden-Baden and Salzburg festivals, the state operas of Munich and Berlin, Opera North, Opera di Roma and Royal Opera House. His recordings have received nominations and awards from the BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone, Grammy, L’Orfée d’Or and Diapason.

Saul runs at Glyndebourne until 30 October then visits Canterbury, Milton Keynes, Norwich and Plymouth as part of the 2015 Glyndebourne Tour.
