Britten’s heroic epic returns to the Glyndebourne Festival.

Michael Grandage returns to direct his award winning staging, not seen at Glyndebourne for over a decade.

Award-winning director Michael Grandage’s debut opera staging premiered at Glyndebourne in 2010 to triumphant, five-star reviews. The show has since travelled to America, but this is the first chance to see this “stupendous” production (The Telegraph) back on stage at the Festival for over a decade, with tenor Allan Clayton making a major role debut as Captain Vere.

David McVicar’s five star production returns for Festival 2026.

Mozart’s dazzling drama returns for Festival 2026. David McVicar’s productions at Glyndebourne have become some of the opera house’s best-loved: his gorgeous 2015 production will be the final revival of the season. Evan Rogister will conduct the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and a cast filled with young rising stars.

Support Tosca

The first Tosca in Glyndebourne history.

Puccini’s tragic thriller directed by Ted Huffman makes its debut at Festival 2026. Tosca is the first Puccini opera for Glyndebourne’s Music Director Robin Ticciati, who will conduct the London Philharmonic Orchestra in the first of two performance runs.


To join a production circle we ask for a gift of £5,000 or above and offer the chance to gain an insider’s view of the creative process through special events and rehearsals.
