In partnership with Classic FM Caroline Wettergreen performs two captivating coloratura arias by Massenet and Mozart in Glyndebourne’s historic Old Green Room.
Caroline is currently appearing as La Fée in the Glyndebourne Tour 2018 production of Cinderella (Cendrillon). She is accompanied by pianist Ben-San Lau.
First Caroline performs ‘Ah! Douce enfant’ from Cendrillon, one of La Fée’s most glittering numbers, full of glorious ornamentation, trickling runs and trills. This is followed by the famous Queen of the Night aria (‘Der Hölle Rache’) from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute).
Caroline will return to Glyndebourne in 2019 to play The Queen of the Night in the Festival production of Die Zauberflöte.
