Position: Conductor
Nationality: Italian
Born in Rome, he obtained three Master’s degrees in conducting, composition and trumpet from the Conservatory of Music in L’Aquila and continued his conducting studies at La Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado in Milan. From 2015-2016 he regularly worked as Assistant and Cover Conductor for Maestro Fabio Luisi both at the Met and at the renewed Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca, where in 2017 he gave his Italian opera debut conducting Un giorno di regno to great acclaim. He is currently Artistic Director of Lithuanian National Opera Theatre. Founder of both Les Voix Concertantes in Paris and Bare Opera in New York, he has conducted numerous orchestras in Europe and beyond, and collaborated with soloists including Elina Garanca, Sondra Radvanovsky, Matthew Polenzani, Mariusz Kwiecen, Roberto Alagna, Olga Peretyatko, Kristine Opolais and Markus Werba.
