She is a novelist, poet, non-fiction author and screenwriter. Fold, her first collection of poetry was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney First Poetry Collection Prize, 2020. Author of the bestselling essay on the French mindset, The Secret Life of France, Lucy lives between France and the UK. She won the Prix des Spectateurs at the Paris des Femmes Festival for her first play, Parfaite and the C21 Screenwriting Award for best pilot for her comedy drama co-written with her sister and based on Lucy’s memoir, Heads and Straights (Penguin).
