Laurène Paternò

Position: Singer
Voice: Soprano
Born in France to an Italian family, she took singing lessons from a young age. After obtaining a degree in Italian language, she attended the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) and graduated with a Bachelor’s and later a Master’s degree. She joined the choir of Opéra de Lausanne, making her debut with the company as Serpina/La Serva padrona. She won first prize and the HEMU prize at Opera de Lausanne’s 2019 Kattenburg competition, and second prize at the Corsica Lirica international singing competition. She recently recorded her first album, Incitement to Travel. Taken from the Festival 2023 programme book.
