Position: Designer
A graduate of Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, the exhibiting sculptor has been creating stage and costume designs since 1981 and worked as assistant to the designers Margherita Palli, Gabbris Ferrari, Michel Lebois, Quirino Conti, Franco Zeffirelli, Ambra Danon and Gianni Quaranta from 1985 to 1990. In 2007 he led a Masters in Set Design as Professor in Residence for Victorian College of the Arts at the University of Melbourne. Since 2013, he has been teaching set design for the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, Carrara and Milan, where he is now Professor of Set Design. Taken from the Festival 2022 programme book.
