Milton Keynes
Find out more about Milton Keynes Theatre
The new town of Milton Keynes is one of the fastest growing places in the UK.
The area is rich in history – Bletchley Park where World War Two code-breakers worked is a stone’s throw away and John Newton’s ‘Amazing Grace’ was composed in the nearby town of Olney. Milton Keynes also hosts a biannual International Festival, featuring theatre, music comedy and art at a wide variety of venues across the town.
Milton Keynes Theatre’s 1,400 seat auditorium opened in 1999, after a 25-year campaign to get a new theatre built. It is now the entertainment centre of excellence in the region.
The Glyndebourne Tour has been visiting Milton Keynes Theatre since 1999.
