Join one of our knowledgeable guides and discover what it takes to make world-class opera a reality. The tour starts in our Organ Room, where you will learn the fascinating story behind the origins of the Festival. From there, you’ll follow in the footsteps of countless world-class performers as we take you into our backstage world.
You’ll see the stage from the audience’s perspective when you visit the auditorium for an exploration of the architecture and acoustics of this breathtaking space.
Next, you’ll see our making teams at work as we walk through the Glyndebourne production hub, to catch a glimpse of our skilled craftspeople creating items for the stage. You will also be able to see the handiwork of our costume and wig makers up close, with displays of some of their most eye-catching creations from recent productions.
Finally, you’ll enter Glyndbourne’s archive where archivist Phillip Boot will share treasures from the collection.
