Learning & Engagement

Teaching resources

Bring opera to life in the classroom with our teaching resources for Key Stages 2 to 4.

As part of our Performance for Schools programme we are committed to extending the learning of every young audience member beyond the auditorium and into the classroom.

Through our digital resources we endeavour to support teachers to use a Glyndebourne performance to engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to invent, experiment and ignite creativity in the classroom. We collaborate with local teachers to design resources that aim to further develop an appreciation of opera across several subject areas while being flexible to teacher needs and the strengths of all pupils. These resources can be adapted for use over several lessons or as individual tasks to complement your current planning and school curriculum.

We invite teachers of Key Stages 2 to 4 to explore our range of digital resources to help bring opera to life in the classroom.
