Glyndebourne Youth Opera (ages 9-19)

Glyndebourne Youth Opera gives local young people aged 9-19 the opportunity to perform world-class opera.

Every year Glyndebourne Youth Opera (GYO) provides local young people with world-class performance opportunities and engaging opera workshops open to all.

Current Opportunities

audition to perform in Festival 2024 Ages 9-13
Following our successful Carmen taster day in November 2023, we will be holding workshop auditions on 20 and 21 January to be part of the children’s chorus in Glyndebourne’s brand new production of Carmen to be staged in Festival 2024.
Regular CREATIVE SESSIONS Ages 14-19
Since Autumn 2023 we have been meeting in Eastbourne and Worthing fortnightly for free creative sessions. Exploring storytelling and activism through music, the groups are currently devising their own creative projects led by a team of four professional artists.

GYO is open to young people living within 25 miles of Glyndebourne. If you live further afield, you can still join our mailing list and we will keep you informed of opportunities that are available for you.

To receive further details of GYO workshops and performance projects, join the GYO mailing list and receive updates throughout the year.
