Assistant Pit Manager

Monday 30 April – Sunday 26 August 2018, 47 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Pit Manager to join our Orchestra Pit team. You will be required to assist with the set-up of our orchestra pit and on-/off-stage orchestral layouts, moving performing blocks, conductor’s podium, music stands, chairs, acoustic screens and keyboard instruments with the operation of electronic and manual lifting devices and lighting.

Special Requirements

Previous experience working with orchestral musicians and management personnel, conductors, technical staff and stage management is desirable. Due to the split shifts and start/finish times applicants should have their own transport. You will need to be physically fit.

Hours of Work

Average 47 hours per week, working flexibly with the Pit Manager and two assistants to cover morning and afternoon rehearsals and evening performances according to the pit changeover schedule.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a rate of pay of £451.72 per week paid weekly in arrears By BACS usually on a Friday.

5.6 weeks holiday inclusive of bank holidays per annum pro rata, however due to the seasonal nature of the contract, there may be times where you are not able to take holiday.
