Glyndebourne Tour: Golden Anniversary Celebration — Raffle and Auction Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the Charity Raffle at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on Tuesday 4 December 2018


1. The cost of each ticket entry into the raffle is £300.

2. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years.

3. The raffle is otherwise open to all who are attending the Glyndebourne Tour 50 Gala.

4. Payment for raffle tickets may be made by cash, cheque or credit/debit card and must be paid for at the time of purchase.

5. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.

6. Glyndebourne accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
7. Raffle tickets will be drawn randomly at the Gala on 4 December 2018.

8. Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn and in the order of the raffle prize list which will be made available at the event.

9. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

10. Except where the expense or cost is expressly included within the description of the raffle prize, the winner is responsible for making all arrangements and meeting all costs that may be necessary to take up and enjoy their prize. This may include, but is not limited to travel, accommodation, food and incidental expenses, transportation or customs duties (if an item is being exported at winner’s direction).

11. Prizes will lapse, and not be claimable, unless they have been taken by 31 December 2019 (unless otherwise agreed). No cash alternative will be offered and Glyndebourne Productions Limited accepts no liability should a prize not have been taken within this time period.

12. Except where the prize is in the form of Vouchers or other item received at the Gala, it shall be the responsibility of the prizewinner to contact the Glyndebourne Development Office in the first instance to discuss arrangements for the fulfilment of the prize. All the aspects of the fulfilment are subject to such agreement being reached with the provider of the prize over all relevant matters and subject to all general and specific conditions which may apply.

13. To the extent permitted by law, Glyndebourne Productions Limited does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, claim or costs howsoever arising from or incurred wholly or partly by participation in the raffle or fulfilment of any prize.

14. We will hold and process any personal data in relation to you in accordance with the principles underlying the Data Protection Act 2018 and in accordance with our Privacy Notice


Terms and Conditions for the Charity Gala Auction at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on Tuesday 4 December 2018


1. By bidding for any Lot you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and must be aged 18 or over.

2. When you place a bid you thereby enter a contractually binding and irrevocable obligation to complete the transaction if you are the Winning Bidder of that Lot. The Bidder placing the highest bid accepted by the Auctioneer for a Lot will be the ‘Winning Bidder’ at the Hammer Price.

3. The Auctioneer may use his/her sole discretion to refuse to accept any bid and will accept no responsibility for missed bids.

4. Bidding increments will be set at the Auctioneer’s sole discretion.

5. Any dispute about a bid will be settled at the Auctioneer’s sole discretion. He/she will act reasonably when deciding how to settle any such dispute.

6. You are not able to retract any bid under any circumstances after it has been submitted.

7. Immediately following your successful bid on a Lot you will complete a Winning Bidder Pledge Card and hand it in at the designated collection desk.

8.
