Jerwood Recitals

Discover opera's future stars.

Join our 2023 Jerwood Young Artists – exceptional young singers from the Glyndebourne Chorus – for a recital of operatic classics.

Now in its 14th year, Glyndebourne’s Jerwood Young Artist Programme has nurtured many leading performers, including Festival 2023 principals Rosie Aldridge (2010) A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Gavan Ring (2012) Dialogue des Carmélites; Stuart Jackson (2013) Semele; Thomas Atkins (2016) The Rake’s Progress; Michael Mofidian (2018) Don Giovanni; Nardus Williams (2018) L’elisir d’amore; Sam Carl (2019) The Rake’s Progress and Stephanie Wake-Edwards (2019) Semele.

Our Jerwood Young Artists for Festival 2023 are Annabel Kennedy, Michael Ronan and Jamie Woollard.

Recitals will take place on 30 June, 8 July, 21 July and 1 August 2023.

You can book a free ticket when purchasing your Festival ticket online, or you can call the box office on 01273 815 000 to reserve a place.

These recitals are an opportunity to discover exceptional voices in the intimacy of our Ebert Room – and support opera’s future stars at a pivotal moment in their careers. All recitals begin at 3.30pm and last approximately 45 minutes, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the grounds before the start of the opera.
