Bringing the House Down
A concert at Glyndebourne for the Meath Epilepsy Charity
In light of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and after discussions involving all the stakeholders, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone Bringing the House Down: A concert at Glyndebourne for the Meath Epilepsy Charity.
The concert will now be held on 11 April 2021, being the Sunday after Easter next year. Brindley Sherratt has assembled a unique collection of singers; some of these have already been able to commit to the new date while the rest are checking their diaries. John Suchet has confirmed that he will compère the show.
New tickets will not be issued and so you should retain those you have already received, which, other than the date, will be valid in the same way as they would have been on 5 April this year.
The concert has already taken an enormous amount of volunteer and professional time to put together. So all involved are very disappointed to have to arrive at this decision.
We sincerely hope that you will understand our reasons and that you will be able to make the new date for this hugely inspiring and memorable concert.
I am sure that you will realise that Glyndebourne and the Meath are both having to deal with a much increased workload, so we ask you NOT to contact either organisation but to channel your queries to firstname.lastname@example.org: please contact us only with urgent matters. You can also use this email if you wish to be on the mailing list for the new date. Otherwise please reserve your queries until we re-announce the concert towards the end of this year.
