Nothing was the latest large-scale youth opera from Glyndebourne, with GYO2 taking centre stage, performing with professional singers and guided by a top flight creative team including conductor Sian Edwards in a fully staged production at Glyndebourne. Talented young instrumentalists played alongside the Southbank Sinfonia.
Performances took place 25-27 February 2016 on the main stage at Glyndebourne. This production was recommended for those aged 12 and over.
The Nothing chorus were recruited from our Glyndebourne Youth Opera – open-access taster workshops for those who had never participated in GYO before were held in Brighton and Eastbourne in April 2015, and auditions were held in Lewes.
