Autumn/Winter 2018 Sessions

The basics of choir leadership

This is your chance to learn the basics of choir leadership. Using the repertoire from the major singing project East Sussex Big Sing, Lee Reynolds will lead you through choral training 101 – everything from how to lead warm ups, to breathing techniques and tips for choir leaders to draw out the best from their young singers.

So you’ve learned the basics…what next?

Once a large project such as the Big Sing finishes it can be difficult to know what to do next. Travis Baker will come armed with repertoire ideas, tips for how to introduce harmony, and other slightly more advanced techniques to take your choir on another step in their development.

Who is it for?

Primary, secondary, trainee and peripatetic teachers who wish to develop their choral leadership skills. The repertoire will be based around the primary school project East Sussex Big Sing however, the techniques and skills required can map to many age groups.
