Cast change: Steve Davislim/Richard Croft in La clemenza di Tito

Due to artistic differences Steve Davislim will not appear in the role of Tito in the new production of La clemenza di Tito at Glyndebourne Festival 2017. The role will be sung by Richard Croft.

American tenor Richard Croft is internationally renowned for his performances with leading opera companies and orchestras, including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra National de Paris, Berlin Staatsoper, The Salzburg Festival, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, The Berlin Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus, The Cleveland Orchestra, The New York Philharmonic, and The Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Previous engagements with Glyndebourne include Don Ottavio/ Don Giovanni (1991), Septimus/ Theodora (1996), Flamand/ Capriccio (1998), Pelléas/ Pelléas et Mélisande (1999), Tom Rakewell/ The Rake’s Progress (2000).

La clemenza di Tito is at Glyndebourne Festival 2017 from 26 July – 26 August and is broadcast live to cinemas and online on 3 August.
