Glyndebourne begins new partnership with Digital Theatre

Glyndebourne has announced a new partnership with Digital Theatre which will see it make a number of its productions available for on-demand viewing on is an on-demand video streaming platform which specialises in delivering arts content in partnership with leading theatre, ballet and opera companies.

Over the course of 2015, 13 Glyndebourne titles will be released on in a series of collections.

The first collection, British Opera Classics, is released today and includes Glyndebourne’s 2009 production of Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, its 2011 staging of Handel’s Rinaldo and Giulio Cesare, filmed in 2005.

The titles will be available to purchase or rent across Digital Theatre’s range of platforms including the Digital Theatre Desktop Player, the Digital Theatre YouView channel and apps for Samsung Smart TV and iOS.
