Supporting Glyndebourne

There are a number of different ways that you can support Glyndebourne. We are fortunate in having a large number of Members and Supporters who tell us that they gain real pleasure from being personally involved in this way.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund raises over £200,000 each year to support the work of Glyndebourne's technical and artistic teams. Donations both large and small to the Annual Fund are invaluable in enabling us to provide support wherever it is needed and so maintain our standards of excellence.

To donate to the Annual Fund please contact the Development Co-ordinator, Sharon Bass, at the address at the bottom of this page.

Young Artists

There are also opportunities to support young artists through our Understudy Programme and Musical Preparation Scheme, which supports assistant conductors, repetiteurs, and language coaches throughout our intensive rehearsal period, as well as the Glyndebourne Chorus.

Education

You might also be interested in our Education programme, described by The Independent as ‘the most imaginative opera-education department in the country'.  Our work to develop knowledge and appreciation of opera in both children and adults involves a year round programme of activities including running Youth Opera workshops, Opera Experience which accompanies our Tour and introduces young people to opera, annual Schools' Matinees, a three year project at HMP Lewes, pre-performance talks, international projects and creative partnerships with local organisations.
