How can I become a Member of the Glyndebourne Festival Society?
Membership of the Festival Society and Associate Membership are currently fully subscribed, however there are a number of other opportunities and memberships available, which offer the benefits of the Festival Society, including priority booking.

What are the benefits of being a member of the Glyndebourne Festival Society?
Members of Glyndebourne Festival Society receive the following benefits:

Can I hold my Membership jointly with my spouse/partner?
Memberships can be held jointly between partners or spouses.

Can I pass my Membership down to my children?
We regret that as we have a waiting list for Membership, Memberships cannot be passed to anyone other than a spouse or partner. Memberships cannot be inherited by children or grandchildren.
Can I ‘Gift Aid’ my subscription to the Glyndebourne Festival Society?
Yes! Glyndebourne is currently entitled to claim 28p from HM Revenue and Customs for each £1 of your subscription.

Can I pay my subscription by Direct Debit?
Yes! For Festival Members, Associate Members, Friends of Glyndebourne on Tour, and subscribers to the Festival Mailing List, Direct Debit offers you the security of knowing that your subscription will be automatically renewed each year.
To set up a Direct Debit simply download and complete our Direct Debit mandate and return it to Jacqui Hills at the following address.

When will you reopen the waiting list?
The waiting list was closed in 1998 and is currently fully subscribed. Although we aim to re-open Festival Society Membership in the future we have no immediate plans to do so at the present time. There are, however, a number of alternative Membership options. Please see our Membership page for further information
Is Glyndebourne a charity?
Yes! Glyndebourne Festival and Glyndebourne on Tour are funded by two charities, Glyndebourne Productions Ltd and Glyndebourne Arts Trust.
Glyndebourne Productions Ltd was incorporated in 1939 and Glyndebourne Arts Trust was established in 1954 with the objective to ensure the future production of opera by Glyndebourne Productions.
Glyndebourne Productions is registered as a charity.

Membership subscriptions and the majority of donations to Glyndebourne are paid to Glyndebourne Arts Trust, Charity Registration Number 208743.
When will I receive my booking form?
Members of the Festival Society should have received their booking forms by 26 November 2007.
Associate Members of the Festival Society should have received their festival 2008 booking forms by 11 February 2007.
Festival Mailing List subscribers should have received their festival 2008 booking information by 11 February 2007.

How do I get tickets for the Glyndebourne Festival?
Tickets are first made available to Members of the Festival Society, then Associate Members, and then Festival Mailing List in three ballots. Subsequently tickets are released on sale to the general public.
Telephone booking and booking via our website opens on 10 April 2008, after the priority booking periods are complete.
