That’s how Vita Sackville-West described Glyndebourne in 1953. That one of the 20th century’s greatest garden makers should include the gardens in her praise is an indication of the importance these spaces have always had for visitors.
Over the next few years we plan to develop new areas and new planting schemes to make the gardens an even more attractive place to enjoy. As the Glyndebourne gardens evolve they will certainly reflect the grandeur of their past but will also look forward to a sustainable and dynamic future.
