The new releases from Glyndebourne will include the libretto in full and CDs in a hard cover casing.

The twin first releases are Prokofiev’s Betrothal in a Monastery conducted by Glyndebourne’s Music Director Vladimir Jurowski (2006 Festival) and Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro conducted by Silvio Varviso (1962 Festival).
The new CD label reflects Glyndebourne’s desire to further extend its work beyond the opera house. Totally committed to quality, Glyndebourne’s work is original and inventive.
Future releases on The Glyndebourne Label will also draw on the extensive archive recordings which span the years from 1960 to the present day. The live recordings, originally made for archival purposes, were recorded under the highest technical standards of the time. Recorded by John Barnes, with the blessing of the Christie family, this unique collection of performance recordings will now become available on CD for the first time.
The first two titles will be available to purchase here from 18 May 2008 and will be on general release from 2 June 2008.
