Born on Long Island, she studied at the Mannes College of Music and the Studio Opera of Zurich.
Her roles include Esmeralda/The Bartered Bride (GFO, Zurich); the title role in Lulu (Opéra National de Paris, Berlin Deutsche Oper, Toulouse, Teatro de la Maestranza); Princesse/L’Enfant et les sortilèges (Liceu); Oscar/Un ballo in maschera (Avignon); the title role in Cecilia (Avignon, Monte-Carlo, Nancy); Monica/The Medium (Monte Carlo); Autonoe/ The Bassarids (Châtelet); Blonde/Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Mannheim); the title role in Dinorah, Euridice/Orfeo ed Euridice (Dortmund).
Concerts include Frank Martin’s Maria Triptychon (Utrecht); Mahler’s Fourth Symphony (LPO, Philadelphia Orchestra); Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (LPO); Mahler’s Eighth Symphony (Philadelphia Orchestra and the Orchestre de Paris); Pintscher’s L’espace dernier (Frankfurt); Lieder und Schneebilder, Twilight Song (Frankfurt, Hamburg); concerts with the Ensemble Intercomporian in Paris; Pintscher’s Herodiade Fragmente (Munich, and with the Philidelphia Orchestra, Saarbrücken Orchestra and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk Orchester).
