Born in France, he took masterclasses with Noëlle Barker and James Bowman during his late teens. In 2000 he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, appearing in L’incoronazione di Poppea, conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm. He made his professional debut as Eustazio/Rinaldo (Festival de Radio France, Montpellier).

Other roles include Ottone/Agrippina (Santa Fe); Ottone/L’incoronazione di Poppea (Opéra National de Paris, Geneva); the title role in Orlando (Champs-Elysées); the title role in Sosarme (Saint Gallen); Unulfo/Rodelinda (the Met, Dallas); the title role in Tamerlano (Spoleto Festival); Tolomeo/Giulio Cesare (GFO,Vienna, Pittsburg, Chicago Lyric Opera); La Calisto (Luxembourg); Eliogabalo (La Monnaie). Concerts include Messiah (Les Arts Florissants); Dido and Aeneas, Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Bach’s Magnificat (Le Concert d’Astrée under Haïm); and with the Freiburg Barockorchester.
