With a visually stunning production by Adrian Noble, Mozart’s sublime last opera was a huge success on our Tour four years ago. Conductor Douglas Boyd, well known for performances with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, will makes his operatic debut.

Humperdinck's opera, based on the story by the Brothers Grimm, will make its Tour debut this autumn stright from a new production for the 2008 Festival. The sumptuous score and fairytale setting make a perfect family treat in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
