Born in London, she studied at the GSMD and the NOS, winning the 2004 Kathleen Ferrier Award and John Christie Award. She has sung Pamina, First Lady/Die Zauberflöte (GFO); Countess Almaviva/Le nozze di Figaro (GOT, Aix); Helena/A Midsummer Night’s Dream (GFO, Madrid); Governess/The Turn of the Screw (GOT); title role/The Coronation of Poppea (ENO); Pamina, Miranda/The Tempest (ROH); L’allegro, il penseroso ed il moderato (Opéra National de Paris).
Concerts include appearances with Rattle, Mackerras, Rilling, Dudamel and Christie. She is signed to EMI Classics. Future engagements include Handel’s La Resurrezione (under Haïm); Handel’s Susanna (under Christie); Anne Trulove/The Rake’s Progress (ROH).
