Salary circa £33,000 dependant upon experience
Glyndebourne has an opportunity for an experienced corporate fundraiser to bring their creative flair to the development department covering the role of Corporate Development Manager for a 12 month maternity cover.
Based in Lewes, this role will work closely with our corporate members so will
include 1 to 2 days offsite each week for meetings (usually in London). We will consider applications from fundraisers wishing to carry out the role on a free lance basis who can offer at least 4 days per week.
The core duties of this role will include:
- To meet corporate fundraising and membership targets for the Festival, Tour, Education and growing programme of digital activities.
- To maintain, reactivate and grow the corporate membership pool for Glyndebourne and maximize ticket take-up among members.
- To build a network of lateral corporate funding partnerships including the development of new and existing relationships primarily through face-to-face meetings and to oversee the delivery of sponsorship and membership benefits.
- With the Head of Development prepare strategy and approach for the renewal of corporate Founder members in 2014.
- To identify and research potential prospects.
- To manage appropriate cultivation events for corporations.
You will have a strong track record of fundraising and increasing income opportunities, solid experience of developing new prospects and building business relationships preferably in an arts or high end membership environment. Importantly, you will be an excellent and confident communicator, capable of writing and presenting persuasive sponsorship proposals. Experience of using a CRM database system would be an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
We can offer a salary of circa £33,000 dependant on experience for the 12 month fixed term contract. The contractual hours of work are 35 per week however managers at this level are expected to manage their time and work the hours required to meet the demands of the role which will include some evenings and weekends.
28 days / 5.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays.
You will also be eligible to join a Stakeholder pension scheme after three months (employee contribution 5 %; employer contribution 5%).
