Dress Code

Festival
Evening dress of black tie/long or short dress is customary for the summer festival. Changing facilities, if needed, are provided in the Plashett Building at the foot of the car park. Don't forget the perils of the British summer; cardigans, wraps and jackets are always a good idea.

Tour
The dress code is casual.

Gardens

The Gardens are open from 3pm (2pm on Sundays) before Festival performances. For Tour performances the gardens are open from two hours before curtain up. These are private gardens and are only for the use of ticket holders for the performance on the same day. We ask guests to respect the gardens and take litter home.

Picnic Tables

There are a limited number of picnic tables available on the Upper Circle. In order to make this system as fair as possible patrons will not have access to this area before 3pm (2pm on Sundays) during the Festival. Before Tour performances this area will be open from two hours before curtain up.

Because of the limited availability of tables, in the likelihood of bad weather we would advise patrons to bring their own furniture.
