Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside any building including the terraces and the Long Bar. For patrons wishing to smoke, ashtrays are provided in the designated open areas at either end of the Long Bar.
Dogs
Dogs, other than guide or hearing dogs, must not be brought into the grounds, and for their own safety and health, should not be left in vehicles in the car park. Hearing dogs and guide dogs can be taken into the auditorium.
Lost Property
The management cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to articles left in the gardens or on the premises. In the event of loss or damage, please contact the information office on 01273 815000 during office hours.
Latecomers
Latecomers will not be admitted to the auditorium after the start of the performance but will able to follow the opera via a relay in the Organ Room. If a suitable pause occurs, patrons will be shown to their seats, although this may not be until the interval.
Patrons who wish to leave the auditorium during a performance cannot be re-admitted unless there is a suitable pause.
Interval
Lasting over an hour the Long interval will allow ample time for dinner in the restaurant or picnic on the lawns. Bells, clearly audible in the gardens, are rung 10, 5 and 3 minutes before the end of the interval.
First Aid
There is a First Aid Room next to the Adapted Lavatory on the Blue side at Foyer Circle Level. St. John Ambulance personnel are on duty each evening.
