For 5 years, Glyndebourne Education has led highly successful workshops for in primary schools on the Glyndebourne Tour. The Glyndebourne Education team introduce, rehearse and performe a new mini-opera in around 15 different primary schools. The performances involve active participation from children in an opera with professional singers and the fundamentals of set, costume, story and music.
In 2008, Glyndebourne Education will tour an interactive performance of Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, re-written for primary school students. This will include a larger artistic team that in previous years delivering the sessions, including professional instrumentalists and singers from the Glyndebourne on Tour productions.
