Pile of Meaning

‘One day in school, Pierre stands up and says there’s no meaning, everything’s meaningless, and he walks out. The rest of the kids try and think of ways they could prove him wrong’

At the heart of the opera is this thing called the Pile of Meaning that the kids decide they’re going to build to provide Pierre wrong. The idea being that if they all give up things that they love, they’ll all weep and it will prove that these things meant a lot to them.
